Overview:
Designed for versatile rack and tower deployments, the third generation Compaq ProLiant ML370, the ML370 G3, improves on the performance of the G2 with advanced memory protection and high availability features required for demanding remote site and data center environments. This 5U rack model is configured with a 2.4GHz Intel Xeon processor (upgradeable to dual processing), a 512KB full speed ECC L2 cache, 533MHz front bus speed, an integrated Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter and 512MB PC2100 ECC DDR SDRAM, expandable to 12GB. Because it does not come with a pre-installed hard drive, you can select one that best suits your needs. This server features a Hot-Plug Wide Ultra2/Ultra3 Drive Cage for up to 6 x 1" hard drives. The ProLiant ML370 contains one 1.44MB floppy drive, a 48X (max. speed) CD-ROM drive and two available 5.25" external bays. It comes with an embedded Compaq NC3163 Fast Ethernet NIC with Wake-On-LAN. For graphics, it uses an integrated ATI Rage XL video controller with 8MB SDRAM, supporting resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 in 64 thousand colors and 1280 x 1024 in 16.7 million colors. Compaq's Pre-Failure Warranty protects your server from downtime by replacing hard drives, memory and processors that are monitored by the included Compaq Insight Manager within the warranty period before they fully fail. The ML370 supports Windows NT Server, Windows 2000, Novell NetWare, Caldera OpenServer and OpenUNIX and LINUX (Red Hat and SuSE).
